We celebrated Christmas 1 day early! We arose about 7:00am on the 24th and Santa had come! From that point on, it was a whirlwind of Santa, opening presents, eating breakfast, clean, clean, clean, pack, and head to Utah by 1:00p.m.!!! We wanted to spend as much time as we could, since Dan was only allowed two days off for my brother Dayne's wedding on the 28th. The only thing that made sense was to leave on the 24th; drive part way, spend the evening in a hotel (eating at Denny's and watching A Christmas Story), and making it to Brooke & Brock's house on Christmas evening. In some ways, Christmas seemed to last longer because we could pick up right where we left off. We had great time and feel so very blessed this year! The favorite gifts for the boys were the Tonka Ricochet remote control cars, and for Berlyn was her Dolly, that boys have persuaded Berlyn to call "Charlie" (named after the little girl on "Good Luck Charlie.")
When we arrived in Utah, Brooke had an amazing dinner waiting for us, and I was relieved to be in a comfortable home with familiar faces (not on the road seeing people hanging out at Maverick on Christmas Day)!
