Berlyn's new hair!

BEFORE...
MY "INEXPERIENCED" ATTEMPT?
FINALLY TAKING HER TO A "REAL" EXPERT
BERLYN LIKED STEPHANIE...BUT HATED THE BLACK CAPE!

Berlyn looks so grown up with her new hair cut and it totally fit's her personality!

3 times a charm?!

I have been dreading the day I would have to cut my hair...but when I could no longer run my fingers through it because it was damaged from color and frizz, I knew something had to be done. I was way nervous going to somebody new, but with 15 salon's in town...I was sure there was someone good. I was referred to a girl named, Lori. The day of my appointment was nerve-racking, because I did not know what to expect? When I walked in, the salon was decorated so cute and Lori's hair was cute as well. I thought, "this will be awesome, and I will come out looking fabulous"! BOY WAS I WRONG!!

I came out with a blunt, uneven, nothing that I asked for, shoulder-length cut. I was dumb enough to go back and have her fix it (which was better), but still not satisfied. FINALLY I ended up going to Artesia (45 min. away), and finally found the right person! Her name is Stephanie and my friend, Emily highly recommended her. She was amazing, fast, and knew exactly what I wanted. From this experience, I learned that the "grass is not always greener" in bigger towns. I had to travel to a tiny town to find a rare treasure!

"Braxton is my Hero!"

I have been so impressed with Blaze's preschool...so naturally I was excited to attend "Hero Day" at his school. When we arrived, there were fathers from the military, fire station, and police station. It was touching to see these fathers in uniform as we gathered around to say the Pledge of Allegiance. The kids sang some songs they had been working on, and we finished with chips and hot dogs. The best part was when the firemen turned on their hose and sprayed anybody who wanted to get wet! My boys were soaked, but smiling from head to toe. Blaze had to write something about his hero and attach a picture that was displayed with the other collages. He chose Braxton and said, "Braxton is my hero, because he is my best friend and he plays with me." I thought is was so sweet, but realized how very true his statement is. They can certainly fight like brothers, but they have so many tender moments that make their mother shed tears of joy! I hope they remain best friends through their growing years and into adulthood.
