Wow! October was a busy but enjoyable month! We started out the month with picking pumpkins with friends from our ward. The kids had a great time and it was fun to see which pumpkins they each liked.
Then on October 13th-17th, we had a special visit from my mom and dad. The kids loved spending every minute with their Grandpa and Grandma. They had my mom laughing 1 minute and crying the next with their tender hearts and sweet personalities. We had 1 full day of canning (which Dan and I are now hooked)! Dan and Todd took the boys to an NMSU vs. Idaho football game, while my mom, Berlyn, Briggs and I went shopping. Many people in our ward thought my mom was my sister or Todd was my brother (they are one young, hot couple)!! We also had many moments of laughter and tears as it was so hard to say Goodbye. I think the longer we are away from family, the harder it is to say goodbye with each visit. We were so grateful for their visit and love them dearly!
We ended the month with a fun Halloween Hollywood party in Eagar, AZ with our friends the Barentine's on Saturday, followed by a fun evening of Trick or Treating on Monday with the Barentine and Richins families. We are truly blessed with good friends this time of year!
