Back to my roots...

On the way back from Nampa to Firth, I decided it was "TIME" to visit my hometown. I hadn't been to Arco since my high school reunion (which was 5 years ago). My main visit was to stay with my Grandma Boyer...who I love more than life itself. I have had a strong connection to her ever since I was a little girl. We totally understand one another and have developed such a strong friendship over the years. I knew that if I didn't take a few days to spend with her...who knows when our next meeting may be? It was great to be with her and as soon as I came into Arco, a sudden surge of emotion and nostalgia came over me! I drove by my old house and took the kids to the park and famous "Drive-In" (which in my opinion still has the best burgers and milkshakes in town). I got to visit with a close cousin and his family and even saw two of my Aunts! My time seemed more stressful with 3 kids to watch closely...but I loved every minute. There was a time in my life I was embarrassed to tell people where I grew up? However, I am so grateful I had the opportunity to grow up in Arco. It was and will always be a place where friendships were made, a love for people developed, and I gained my very own testimony of the gospel.

Visiting the Dean Clan

We had such and wonderful visit with all the Dean's in Grandview and Nampa. Larry and Marilyn are near completion of their new home! It is going to be BIG AND BEAUTIFUL and they deserve this more than anyone I know. I can't wait to meet for reunions and special occasions. We also spent some time in Nampa with more of the Dean's. We spent time on Mike and Kirk's sailboat, had a BBQ at Kim's and even had a couple "Movie" and "Shopping" days with just the girls! The cousins played so well together and Annikan and I thought Berlyn could be a sister to her beautiful girls. Thank you all for a great visit and can't wait for the next one!

My baby sister Graduated?!

It was such an honor to be in attendance at Devanee's graduation! I love her so much and know with her unique talents, she will go far and do anything she sets her mind to. Did I also mention how amazingly beautiful she is?! I love her for so many reasons, but most of all because of the young woman she has become. I feel like the lucky one in being her older sister. I had the chance to help raise and "spoil" her during her early childhood. Sometimes I am taken back when I look at Berlyn...I have even called Berlyn, Devanee a time or two. Devanee has made my life sweeter and I wish her all the best! I love you sis!

Saying: "So Long First Grade"!

Braxton loved First Grade this year and will really miss his classmates and his teacher, Mrs. Arington! He learned so much this year and really learned to read well because of her. Dan and I really encouraged him at home to try anything and made sure he read at least 15min. everyday. I am so proud of him and know he will do well in the second grade!
