Sisters are like Chocolate Chips!

A cookie is just not the same without chocolate chips, like I feel that life is just not the same without sisters! I have grown so much as an individual since I moved to New Mexico...but my heart aches for my family. I feel so blessed to be so connected to my family; especially my sisters and their kids! I really have a genuine love for children (I always have), but find it unique how much I care and love my nieces and nephews?! Brooke and I recently discussed this very topic and wished we could have been Aunts long before becoming mother's. The more involved you are with your own kids, the harder it is to be an Aunt. I am finding this to be so true, but try my hardest to stay somewhat involved in their lives. I hope someday that I can be the Aunt that my nieces and nephews want to talk to. I love my sister's dearly and want them to know what good examples they have been to me! I love this quote by Margaret Mead:

SISTERS IS PROBABLY THE MOST COMPETITIVE
RELATIONSHIP WITHIN THE FAMILY,
BUT ONCE THE SISTERS ARE GROWN, IT
BECOMES THE STRONGEST.

I love that quote, Nic! It is so true. I love my sisters so much. I'm glad you were able to spend some time with Brooke. I know you both needed that visit. I was one of the lucky ones to have been an aunt long before I became a mother. It was truly one of the best things in my life. I still love my nieces and nephews with all my heart!
P.S. I'm glad your haircut turned out cute! Love you!

I'm so glad you guys got to spend a little bit of time together and just the two of you. It isn't very often when you get to just spend one on one time with a sister. I too, like Natalie, was lucky to be an aunt long before becoming a mother (since I am the youngest) and am so grateful for that.

You look great by the way! I'm so glad your enjoying your little adventure with your family.

Wish we could see eachother at Halloween.

Oh Nicole....you are one big yummy chocolate chip in my book! Thank you for dropping everything and visiting with us. It was so fun, however short it was, to be together and just...be. Thank you for all you have taught me. Love you!
